The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a growing and diverse organization of more than 290,000 members worldwide with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds.

Founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes, EAA expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft.

Membership in EAA enables you to share the spirit of aviation with the most passionate community of recreational pilots, builders, and restorers.  It is perhaps best known for its annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in convention held each July, which draws more than 10,000 airplanes and total attendance of 600,000 to our community.

The Oshkosh Cycling Club got its start about twenty years ago when four cycling buddies decided they wanted to have matching jerseys.   They needed a design for the jersey so what better logo to have than a club icon.  They formed the organization to educate the cycling public through organizing, promotion of bicycling events and programs in and around the Oshkosh cycling community.  The club has sponsored numerous cycling events over the years including a bike swap, criterium racing, local rides, the Oshkosh bicycling and pedestrian plan and are now proud to sponsor the Oshkosh Century.

Thunderbird Bakery, located at their new location at 959 W. 6th Ave., was started by Texas native Trent Wester after surviving his first winter in his new hometown of Oshkosh, WI.  Combining his diverse skills as a craftsman with his passion for delicious, handcrafted food Trent began teaching himself the art of bread and pastry at home and with skilled mentors across the country.  Co-owner (and wife) Lizz Redman was convinced of the idea when the first batch of successful sourdough came out of their hand built, wood fired oven that lived in their driveway.   

Thunderbird is named after the Thunderbird Ranch, a 100-acre piece of property in the mountains of New Mexico that Trent's great-grandfather purchased in the early 1900's. It has remained an important and special place in Trent's story.
